DNA Measuring Telomeres Test on-line - Fagron Genomics

  • DETERMINE YOUR BIOLOGICAL AGE WITH TELOTEST: Our genetic analysis provides you with accurate information about the length of your telomeres, allowing you to estimate the biological age of your cells and take action to improve your health.
  • PROTECT YOURSELF AGAINST DISEASES AND INFECTIONS: The telomeres at the end of your chromosomes protect you from chromosomal degradation and loss of genetic information. Knowing your telomere length can help you identify potential health risks and take preventive measures.
  • CUSTOMIZE ANTI-AGING THERAPIES: By tracking the shortening of your telomeres, you can improve and personalize anti-aging treatments to better suit your needs and ensure optimal results.
  • AVOID BEHAVIORS AND CONDITIONS THAT SHORTEN TELOMERES: Studies show that certain behaviors and environmental factors, such as stress, pollution, and obesity, can lead to a shorter telomere length. Our genetic analysis helps you identify potential risk factors and take steps to protect your telomeres.
  • UNLOCK YOUR GENETIC POTENTIAL: Your telomere length is determined by your genetics and your environment. With TELOTEST, you can uncover valuable information about your genetic potential and take control of your health and wellness for a better, longer life.

TeloTest™ is a simple yet insightful genetic test that measures the length of telomeres in order to quantify the degree of cellular aging of the individual at the time of sampling.

The telomeres shorten in every cell-division cycle and the decreasing of its length is directly associated with aging. In cases of early aging, telomeric length is often detected as shorter than expected, providing information about the degree of cellular aging of the body. Telomeric length is one of the most relevant biomarkers related with body aging. Being able to maintain longer telomeres is related with increased lifespan and retarding the development of age-related diseases.

Understanding your cell biological age allows professionals to clearly approach the right treatments.

INTENDED USE

Fagron TeloTest is intended to assist in making specific care decisions regarding the prevention of aging, especially in high yield diagnostic settings, such as suspected cases of short telomere syndromes.

Fagron TeloTest uses an automatized qualitative algorithm that calculates telomere length, infer biological age based on telomere length, interpret result and relevant patient’s anamnesis to recommend the most appropriate formulas and advice to delay the effect of ageing in adult male and female population.

METHODOLOGY

Telomere length has been analyzed using DNA isolated from cells of the oral mucosa sample provided

DNA has been evaluated using the quantitative PCR technique ** (Absolute Human TelomerLength Quantification qPCR Assay Kit (AHTLQ); ScienceCell # 8918). Repeatability and reproducibility studies demonstrate validity greater than 99%.

The results indicate the average length of telomeres of all chromosomes from a comparison with a control sample with a known telomere length (reference sample).

The approximate biological age is estimated following statistical models endorsed by scientific publications, as well as by internal validations.

The Fagron TeloTest™ results are shared through the Fagron Genomics login platform. The report includes:

  • A summary of your demographics characteristics
  • Telomeres genetic analysis and explanation

A telomere is a region of repetitive DNA sequences at the end of a chromosome.

Telomeres protect the ends of chromosomes from becoming frayed or tangled. Each time a cell divides, the telomeres become slightly shorter. Eventually, they become so short that the cell can no longer divide successfully, and the cell dies.

REPORT EXAMPLES

The human telomeres shorten during the aging process, but the speed of this process varies for each person. Knowing the situation of the telomeres and being able to track their shortening, provides very valuable information for improve and customize anti-aging therapies.

Very Aged

Its biological age shows a marked aging with respect to its chronological age. Its cells have a telomeric length much shorter than expected.

You are advised to follow a healthy life. Perform moderate physical activity. Reduce the intake of protein, calories and salt. Increase the intake of Omega 3, vitamins B, C, D, E and foods with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.

You are strongly advised to follow an adjuvant treatment to rejuvenate at the cellular level and increase the length of your telomeres.

Normal

Its biological age coincides with its chronological age. Your cells show adequate aging at their age.

If you want to rejuvenate at the cellular level, it is recommended to follow a healthy life. Increase the intake of vitamins B, C, D and E as well as food with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.

Very Young

Its biological age indicates that your body is very well at the cellular level. Maintain your lifestyle. Continue like this!
